i love malaysia. food, shopping and friends. :)

ah. but the time here passes so quickly. so many things to do, so little time.

be heading down to singapore again 29th till new years' day. another 2 weeks in KL, then off to hong kong, korea and japan with my family.

n then work....

lots of ppl have been telling me that working life is completely different, with different challenges, different groups of friends entirely, and pretty much....a different lifestyle altogether.

and yes...i am looking forward to it!

argh, my computer has been fine the whole time, and now, it has had a virus attack the time i come back to malaysia. stupidd...

and now i have to spend time clearing up my computer....

on the end of uni-life

my final research project has been handed in on monday. the relief of finishing everything already still hasnt really sunken in - yet. i think ive just been so used to being on the go for the past 10 months i dont really knw how to 'switch off'

but nevertheless, it is over! the hours of toil, hours of editing, writing, surfing the net for more information, meetings with my lecturers, learning how to 'write properly', reading 10000 academic journals, doing interviews, synthesising work, thinking critically, and most of all, food and late nights of trying to study are going to be gone with the days. from part of it i'll say im happy for this trying and hard year to be over, at the same time im sure im gonnna miss uni and the days i can dictate my time and sleep/work whenever i want.

anyway, post finishing everything, i still have a few bits and pieces to tie up here n there. but i got my result yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! didnt expect it to come so fast, since i only handed in my research project a mere few days ago, but now im a proud graduate with 1st class honours :)

definately rewarding, and worth the time now. and yes, it is a learning curve for those who are wondering :)

i can now holiday with joy and peace that it is all over.

once upon a time..

i would have to say facebook is one of the best procrastination tools. u see what happened is i found one of my old school mate from like primary school.. yes PRIMARY. the best part abt it is that he just uploaded some photos from like standard 2? lol

brings back the most memories, trying to remember ppl's names and looking at all those stuff i vaguely can remember. somehow photos are awesome, but then again, kinda photos were kinda few and sparse pre-digital camera i-can-take-every-moment photos. makes me think i should have taken heaps more photos :)

but yeah. i havnt reminisced much abt leaving ssg for quite a long time. i was sad i left, but i learnt how to move on i guess. seeing some photos from secondary sch at ssg made me feel i missed out, just a tad bit by leaving to bbgs, but i guess nothing lost, nothing gained.

*sighs*.. the good old days... (i sound like im so old already)

Gosh, I didnt realise its been like more than half a semester since i last wrote here! argh, i think it just reflects how busy i am even to jot down some stuff here. anyway, not that i actually have time now, just thot i'll fill those who are still reading this on whats what in my life so far

RESEARCH PROJECT
currently: killing me
seriously, i have so much to do dont even know whether i can make the submission date, been working heaps of my lit review the past few days, hopefully get it done in the next few cuz im gonna tear my head up soon. have quite enough abt environmental issues for a while, but yeah, at least next year i can sound smart abt it :)

OTHER PAPERS
currently: procrastinating
my lecturers this trimester have been THE awesomest ppl. i have like multiple extensions on like everything cuz im not able to meet any deadlines. gonna hit me back later when everything should be finished, but for now,research project is taking all my time

HONOURS in general
currently: about 10 weeks more (+/-)
would be less than 10 weeks if i get onto it and get all my work done. If i meet all deaslines, should be abt 6 weeks more :) thank god.
this year has definately been tough and i have studied THE MOST in my life so far. now its just interesting when i can reflect back on it next year and i might actually see the light at the end of the tunnel

EVERYTHING ELSE
nothing much has really been happening cept for studying, hanging with my sis and Dan. the usual. and catching up with sleep consumes pretty much the entire day.

ohyeaaaa...i cant wait for summer

its 12pm and the temprerature outside is 6 degrees. the cold is just driving me crazy at the moment as it is sooo cold! dun think i remember such cold in wellington before, feels like mt ruapehu here still!

exams are finally over, but assignments and readings are not. mehhh.. im in front of my comp now trying to do my final assignment for semester 1,but i cant concentrate.

went to conference yesterday night. was freezing as. and i came home smelling like cigrette smell, not cuz i was smoking, but the room was smokin' from the fireplace. stupid thing didnt have a proper chimney. lol

oh yeah...i got exciting news ;)

yay.....im in uni now...STILL, but im happy another paper is done! so count - 2 down, 1 more exam and 1 more assignment! woohooo...

hahaha. i think im too happy at the moment to do any work :P but oh well, a few hours of bumming would be ok :P

but....enough of being happy, my exam was CRAP. i couldnt remember anything at all, cuz we were given the questions prior to the exam, and we could prepare, but i freaking couldnt remember any points! so much for last minute trying to remember and telling myself tht i already knew this sh** cuz we wrote a whole essay abt it! arghh...should have put a lil more effort into it. but its already over n done, so c'est la vie

anyway, drove down fm kelburn to rww, and i was freaking frozen walking to uni. its sooo cold and freaking wind was biting my nose and ears off. grrrrrrr. according to the radio, its snowing to 300m today, prob gonna be the most snow in wellington that ive seen in a while. and seriously its super freezing, feels like mt ruapehu in wellington :(

i want summer to come faster. plus ive got a mate who's going away for the break to none other that the tropical country of singapore. im sooo jealous, i want the hot and humid weather! :P

ah well. life is good. 4 more days till Friday! wooottt!

havnt been blogging cuz i should be studying

cuz just finished my tax exam. woohooo...im closer to finishing half my honours year already. and its GREAT!

sometimes, i think people know me better than i know myself sometimes and people know more things than me about myself than i do.

funny..or just ignorant.

sometimes i reakon since people already know so much about me, why bother blogging. (well apart from the procrastinating part)

anyway, gonna spend some time with my sis. dont want her to get lonely :P

its 2 more weeks till its all over...but im so slack now its not funny. been bumming my days away and somehow not worrying abt my study

which is good...cuz thou shall not worry :P

im gearing up for oceans 13. by watching oceans 11 and 12 that is. need to get the story line if not i'll spend half the time in the cinema trying to remember what had happened in the past 2 movies (like spiderman). not that it actually matters, but i like my story to flow. like how i can sit in front of my comp for 2 days straight watching re-runs of greys. the story makes sooo much more sense when you do that. really.

oh talking abt tv....i missed the apprentice yesterday night. which makes it two weeks in a row i missed it. how could i? plus this season has all the dramas....and love too :P i know its far fetched being apprentice and all that...but all i can say is that its good entertainment

had yum cha on sunday :)) ooohhh...all my prawn dumplings. hahaha. have been having too much food (understandable since its study week)....but its kinda nullifying my gym sessions tho. ahhh..shall go more when exams are over?????

i just wanna be graduated from uni, finished with all my studies and exams.

i guess its kinda worse when most of my mates are already finished or bumming around in the last few trimesters of uni happily enjoying life when im stressed out and have mountains of work to do on my hands.

ahhh....just another 5 months and i'll get to join in the fun and games =) till then back to the books and papers
