in Kuala Lumpur

im finally updating my blogg!!! hurrah

im suffering from internet withdrawal symptoms soon......i spend abt 5 hours online on average usually, and now i spend abt 5 minutes a day online!!! grrrrr...miss just surfing online for nothing for hours and downloading my shows to watch

been real busy since i got back to KL so far. phew. getting abt 5 hours of sleep per day compared to my usual 10 hour sleeps.

anyway, retracing my steps, singapore was real rush. didnt get to see all the people i wanted, and also didnt get to spend enough time with the ones i met too. wanted to hang out longer and go to good places in singapore. still thinking of making a trip down there again. didnt do too much shopping either!!!! and now they are having super year end sales...boohooo.......

Malaysia on the other hand is sooo hectic since i got back. was at work 3 days after i got back. hardly had much time to meet up with ppl either. gonna do it over this long weekend tho!! woohoo...i love the weekends =)))

i am currently hating the early morning wake ups to work. work has been pretty cruisey so far. my senior in charge of me has been real nice letting me go home early n all that, so i havnt actually done any long hours yet either. just that it kinda sucks travelling every day to the curve and having to spend heaps on expensive food when i have such a misery salary.

apart from that, trying to fit in everything. funny how i wanted to work when i was on holiday and now that im working all i want is a holiday.....trust me to want what i dont have

still have a super super long list of food that i havnt eaten YET. been pretty much eating out everyday, but eating different stuffs, but still havnt eaten a LOT yet. shopping has been going real slow cuz im getting sick of people in my face and the hot hot weather. hahaha. but my suitcase is slowly filling up *grins* however, im thinking that im getting short of money soon, been spending wayy too much on food and coffee (or chocolate drinks in my case) rather than the stuff i want and the money im earning is soooooo noottt enough to cover everything thats going out....argh...gotta start budgeting or else i'll end up begging for money to get food lol

one thing ive learnt, no eating steamboat or having a bbq in malaysia EVER unless u wanna die of the heat and hot sweat and food smell on u....

leaving on a jet plane

i think im updating this thing too much recently, just that i guess been inspired/bored :P

its 2.30 am now and im leaving wellywood in another 12 hours or so. im still not asleep at the moment as i still have a few things to pack up here n there b4 i leave, charge my phone, camera and laptop, clean up my room and house (just in case my mummy decides to come here earlier than me :S) and a whole lot of bits and pieces to get done too!!

so yeah. past 2 days just been hanging out and spending some time with my dear friends here in welly b4 i leave, if i didnt get to meet some of yous, either i did earlier or.....when i come back!!! slept wayy too little too in the last 48 hours , just been cramming my schedule packed...and i'll end up dead tired by the time i arrive singapore. will be sound asleep in the plane and i'll miss all my meals! anyway, not the 1st time doing this, it ALWAYS happens b4 i go on a trip and i end up even more tired during the trip..lolz

tried the new nitendo wii that was released on monday today :D appearance and size of the console is awesome - small and white. graphics i reakon not as good as xbox, but the controllers are cool and i guess its a nicer new way to play games. dun see myself getting one in the near future, still think im rooting for ps2 and all the established games that they have. not the ps3 tho cuz tats gay

anyway, guess wouldnt be blogging for a while, possibly a 2 months hiatus unless i get to find time :D going to have to endure the hectic lifestyle once again and prob i wouldnt have time. try to update once i a while tho :D oh well...wouldnt have internet connection for the next few days that im in spore anyways.

ok back to my last minute chores and errands and packing!

things NOT to do when washing clothes

1) wash dark and light colours together
2) not leave your clothes soaking for too long OR leaving it damp for too long TOGETHER

OK. so i broke BOTH the rules.

end result: my black skinny legs ruined my clothes - to be precise, only the clothes which were left in the 'just-took-out-from-washing-waiting-to-be-dried' pile which were touching my black pants were ruined....

but still....

one of my fav top (which was WHITE) got stained and the other pink singlet which i liked got badly stained too......

boohoooo

that will teach me to not procrastinate my washing

thing was, i washed my black pants before with other clothes too...and me guessing that the colour doesnt run; or at least wouldnt run anymore, didnt even think twice abt putting LIGHT colours together. well...i should have known to take it out fast even if i do put it together [thanks to many lessons like this in the past] - if u take them out from the washing immediately, there will be no harm, but seems that i still do not learn......

so heart pain [think translation in chinese]

if it was some old clothes which i seldom wear anymore...that would be fine. or perhaps some cheap sale clothing that i bought, that would be fine too, able to accept those situations...but my poor white top, all the wayyyyy from aussie is gone now.....*sobs*

OMG. i am leaving in 2 days. just 2 more days and i'll be in hot and humid and fast-paced malaysia. soooo not ready for all those yet. not even starting to talk about my internship.

changes in Welly

there are so many changes going on in welly recently, cant hardly keep up and in 2 months time when i come back..there will be so much changes too!!!

shopping in town - so many new shops have opened/renovated. now there's valleygirl on willis, kimberly's have moved, and boarders are opening soon on lambton

inner city baypass - gonna be opened begining of the new year! hopefully that would ease congestion in the city, wun be able to try it out i get back tho

queensgate - heaps of new shops have opened there too, the new dymocks, point zero...more reason to head to queensgate! oh, there's portmans there too as the one in town closed down.

railway metro new world - opened just on monday. it is sooo flash. kinda reminds me a bit like the supermarket in great eastern mall in KL. so flash =)) and i love it, gonna be my food place the entire year next year hehehehe.... cuz when u 1st step into the supermarket, u cant see anything but food. other items are hiding out the back and there isnt too much stock. oh, just realised the dairy i frequent pies and lollies closed down too...

oh. and the night scene. lots of bars/pubs are closing come the new year. there's the malthouse, seam, eclipse.....and not sure what else that's closing. wouldnt have known if i wasnt looking for my 21st venue. too bad those which were on my preference list are closing down...boohoo...

new arty sculptures - was walking by the museum hotel outside te papa the other day and there's this huge as face silhouettes (spelling?). and they are BROWN. hmm...more random arty stuff coming up again. wonder what will be next. kinda realised the other day that i havnt actually properly visited waitangi park either...just walked pass or so usually to the beach or smtg

i guess in general, would have to say wellington has been thru lots of changes and modernisation over the past 4 years i have been back here. just that i usually dont realise the change till smtg new comes up and i start wondering what used to be there....

lots of study, lots of stress, a ton of reading, endless presentations and a research project.

on the bright side, no more waiting and waiting for my life to unfold and offers to be made

on the down side, missed out on the scholarship applications. im so bummed out... i still can't believe that i didnt even realise it in the 1st place. how can i be so blur and not realise that the application were the same time? just like 2002 unfolding all over again. just let opportunities and money slip pass by my fingers. for the second time. gutted.

i just realised....

that im super super brown!!!! as in nice tan brown....the only thing about that is that...it only applies to my ARMS =(( im guessing its from last sat's lunch at midland park / walk to the beach. arghh...i want a tan not just my arms with a stupid tan mark of my t-shirt. darn...

ok. need to even it out and that means less staying at home. but then again...there's 5 days till i leave welly for a whole 2 months plus. gonna miss welly while im gone tho.

yay :D:D:D finally my house phone and internet is working again!!! had to live a whole day without the internet...hmm...im so used to having my internet, without it is exactly like not having my phone with me!!!

house phone died 2 days ago...then the internet died after that, so no phone calls for like a whole 2 days!

well..the technician guy who came to fix it said that the beetles ate up my line....
gosh, those lil beetles, stick to ur grass or whatever it is that you eat!!! - and not my phone line anymore

ps. its officially summer today with rain and southerlies [yuck]
